Yubikey and Windows Home?

Just received new Yubikey, and I know it won't work to open Win 11, but should I register the key with Win Home (or Win 11) even though I use a separate password manager?  Or can I use Windows Home with the Yubikey and skip the password manager?  Thanks for unconfusing me, as Yubikey website is not extremely helpful here.  Thanks!

Registering your YubiKey with Windows Home can still enhance security by requiring physical possession of the key in addition to a password for certain actions or authentication requests. This adds an extra layer of protection against unauthorized access to your device or accounts.

YubiKey is a great enhancement to Windows security. Highly recommended to get one if you have very sensitive information on your computer.
