Windows Second Monitor Chose Not to Participate
My second monitor is connected and detected by Windows, but it stubbornly stays black and shows no signal, as if it simply chose not to participate. I have tried different cables, ports, and updated my graphics drivers, yet the extended display remains inactive while my primary monitor works perfectly fine.

This is a quick and safe way to reset the display system without rebooting. Press Windows Key + Ctrl + Shift + B. Your screen will flash black for a second, and you may hear a beep, which indicates the driver has restarted.

Many monitors (especially Dell) have a built-in self-test (BIST). Unplug the video cable from the monitor while it's on. If a floating box or a message like "No Signal" appears, the monitor is working correctly, and the issue is with the signal source or cable.
