I'm having problems with the visualization on the windows media player legacy. it works for the first song but when it goes to the next song the visualization freezes up, but you can hear it still playing. it is set on alchemy, random for the music visualization.

@stephenmendoza1 I assume you meant to post this under the Windows 11 area, so I'm moving your comment there. Your comment did not seem to apply to a July 10th 2020 blog post without any content related to Windows Media Player, which is where it appeared.

If you are experiencing issues with the visualization on Windows Media Player Legacy, where it freezes up when transitioning to the next song, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the problem:

1. Clear Windows Media Player Cache: Open Windows Media Player and go to "Tools" -> "Options". In the Options window, navigate to the "Privacy" tab and click on the "Clear History" button. Restart Windows Media Player and see if the issue persists.

2. Update or Reinstall Windows Media Player: Ensure that you have the latest version of Windows Media Player installed. You can visit the Microsoft website or use Windows Update to check for updates. If the issue persists, you can also try reinstalling Windows Media Player using the "Turn Windows features on or off" settings in the Control Panel.
I have experienced it as well, and there are other reports as well. Very frustrating since I have some music visuals that are add-ons that no longer work since upgrading to Windows 11.

Filed a bug report and would appreciate upvotes: https://aka.ms/AAs5q8u

This issue is easy to repro and takes less than a couple minutes. I have reproduced this on every Windows 11 machine I've tried between my friends and I.
