Windows Explorer thinks 7z file is both a folder and file

I have 7-zip 23.01 (x64) installed on my Windows 11 Pro (23H2) machine, and .7z files are associated with it. If I attempt to permanently delete a 7z file, whether via SHIFT-DELETE or from a network drive, I am prompted with the following Windows Explorer message:

"Are you sure you want to permanently delete this folder?"
