Windows 11 Pro clean install on a machine with Windows 10 Pro OEM license
Hi,
My company has dozens of Windows 10 Pro machines with Dell OEM OS licenses. I did a clean install of Windows 11 using the USB media creation tool and it installed Windows 11 HOME! What is the best way to do a USB clean install of Windows 11 PRO, not home. The OS install process did not give me the option to select the Windows 11 edition.
In summary, I want to clean install Windows 11 Pro from USB media.
Thanks!

UPDATE : This machine was from a 3rd party Amazon re-seller and if you look at the Dell service tag on their website, it shows that it shipped with Windows 10 HOME. Please beware of Amazon 3rd party resellers people!
- DeletedSadly there are lot of resellers across the internet, seen a lot of people reselling hardware with windows 11 on unsupported system. so sad 😞

Hi Bfoster360,
You may add instructions to change the USB to provide the option to choose Pro in the install, you will need to get a valid genuine Windows 10/11 Key.https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/installing-windows-10-pro-instead-of-home/fb62c4e8-8829-41ba-817c-aff3cca51b3b
You may find generic keys to get them installed but it won't activate.https://winaero.com/windows-11-generic-keys-for-all-editions/#:~:text=Generic%20Keys%20for%20Windows%2011%20%20%20,%20%20N2434-X9D7W-8PF6X-8DV9T-8TYMD%20%2011%20more%20rows%20
You may consider buying volume license through vendors or through micorsoft.
Thanks,
Shawn
