Windows 11 Iso
Hey does anybody know what changed with the windows 11 iso media installation?
two new folders with the new release, "_manifest" and "Provenance"
Just with the latest version which was released directly from Microsoft but have done this many times before and now im unsure to trust it or not.
Wondering if its an issue or a bug with it?

Those folders are a normal-looking part of newer Microsoft installation media, especially as setup packages carry more metadata about manifests, provenance and integrity. The trust check I would use is simple: download the ISO only from Microsoft's official Windows 11 download page, then compare the file hash if Microsoft publishes one for that release or verify the digital signatures inside the mounted image. If the ISO came directly from Microsoft and the setup files are signed by Microsoft, the extra folders are not a warning sign by themselves. Keep your old known-good ISO separately if you need to compare deployment behavior.

This folder likely contains file manifests for the build. These can be used to verify the integrity and authenticity of the OS files.

Such changes are generally normal with newer builds or updates, especially as Microsoft enhances security and authenticity measures. However, if you're concerned about the legitimacy of the ISO, ensure you downloaded it directly from the official Microsoft website or authorized channels.
