Win11 Taskbar clock displays the wrong time zone after waking from hibernation
After waking the system from hibernation, the clock on the taskbar occasionally displays the time in a different time zone. The time zone and time displayed on the Date and Time settings page are correct. Restarting the Windows Time Service or manually synchronizing the clock resolves this display issue, but it reoccurs after the next hibernation cycle.

Since Date & time settings show the correct time and time zone, this looks more like the taskbar failing to refresh after hibernation than Windows actually changing your time zone. Synchronizing the clock may simply trigger that refresh.
Try this while the wrong time is showing:
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc, find Windows Explorer in Task Manager, and select Restart. Let any file-copy operations finish first. If the clock immediately corrects itself, that supports a taskbar display problem.
- If you use a third-party clock or taskbar customization tool, disable it and test another hibernation cycle. Update or remove it if that stops the issue.
- Install available Windows cumulative updates and restart normally before testing again. There is no need to change the time zone if it is already correct.
