PC keeps crashing and restarting – black screen then login screen
Hey everyone, I could really use some help here. I'm still pretty new to this stuff—I know my way around a restart and that's about it, honestly.
Recently my PC has been crashing randomly. Out of nowhere, the screen goes black, and a few seconds later I'm back at the login screen. This happens even when I'm in the middle of a game.
I actually ran into this issue before and ended up resetting the whole system because I couldn't figure it out. Last time I spent over a day trying to run an sfc /scannow check and it took forever.
Now it's happening again, so I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what's going on. I've attached a screenshot of the problem reports—any idea what type of error this is or what I should try next?
Appreciate any advice. Thanks for reading.

Saving videos locally on a MacBook Air can be useful when an offline copy is needed, but maintaining 1080p or higher quality requires selecting the appropriate video and audio streams instead of accepting a low-resolution default. For how to download YouTube on macOS, YouTube 4K Downloader can handle this through a command-line workflow and save compatible sources as high-quality MP4 files.
How to download YouTube on macOS and save videos as high-quality MP4 files
- Open Terminal and make sure the downloader is installed and ready to run.
- Copy the URL of the video you have permission to save.
- Run one command with the video URL and specify MP4 output with the desired quality. For example:
youtube4kdownloader --url "VIDEO_URL" --format mp4 --quality 1080p
- Wait for the download to finish, then locate the MP4 file in the configured output folder.
- Open the file in QuickTime Player and check its resolution and playback quality. A 1080p or higher result is only possible when that resolution is available from the original source.
Notes:
Choose 1080p or higher only when the source provides it.
Keep enough free storage space for high-resolution files.
Download only content you have permission to save.

Since you mentioned this happens during games, the issue is likely triggered by high system load on components like the CPU, GPU, or RAM.
