Muffled sound on Windows 11 using sound over HDMI and Intel driver

Hello.

I have an Asus Zenbook UX450FDX

I7-8565U

Intel UHD Graphics 620 + Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Max-Q

I also have the screenpad that can be used.

I use the following setup:

Zenbook -> Hmdi cable to Marrantz Amplifier -> Hdmi cable to Asus Screen XG27VQ.

I have noticed the following bug:

When I use the sound over HDMI, through the Marrantz speaker, the sound is muffled (especially voiced are muffled).

Funny thing: when I use sound test (for example, the windows sound test available in the list of sound output peripherals), the sound unmuffle during the test sound.

The sound also unmuffle when other kind of sound such as white noise video on Youtube are played.

I see in my list of sound output peripheral that the sound going through my Marrantz amplifier is 'Intel sound driver for screen". I believe it's an issue of Intel driver...

I already tried to update, then uninstall sound driver and intel drivers and re-install them. Nothing changed

Did anyone found a workarround for this?

Make sure report this issue using the Feedback Hub app.
What happen if you uninstall the sound driver?
Are you facing the same issue in Clean Boot?
    Have a look at:

      Hello,

For an unknown reason, my sound is now working properly again.

What I did since last time:

      - running the troubleshoot tool 'just for fun' (which said to have reinstalled generic audio driver). I did it several times before that

      And then it worked!

Glad the problem have been solved.
It is not easy to say how the problem have been solved, may be some updates install in background.
You may look into Event Viewer to see if there is any clue.
