Sign in options
Hello
For the first time in a year i used the Sleep function on the pc, and after that everytime when i start the pc up it wants me to sign in . i never had to do this before and all sign in options was and are turned off. i have even turned them on and off again to test.
ive also done the alt + R and type netplwiz and looked so the box is unchecked.
it also seems that i have two users but i never created it. so when i start the pc it says
"we couldent connect right now please check you internet" when it tries to autologin.
internet is fine and never was the issue.
so to get in to the pc i have to type a Pin Code on the microsoft user.. even tho that is turned off... help?
- JKnessary1220Copper ContributorIt sounds like your PC is encountering some issues with its user account settings, possibly related to the Sleep function usage. Let's troubleshoot this step by step:
1. Check User Accounts: Since you mentioned seeing two users, let's ensure there isn't an extra user account causing the login prompt. Go to Settings > Accounts > Family & other users and see if there are any additional accounts listed. If there's one you don't recognize or need, you can delete it.
2. Check Sign-in Options: As you mentioned, make sure that all sign-in options are turned off. Sometimes, even if they appear turned off, there might be a glitch, so toggle them on and off again to ensure they're properly set.
3. Automatic Login: Ensure that automatic login is enabled. You mentioned checking the netplwiz option, but let's double-check. Press Windows Key + R, type "netplwiz", hit Enter, and make sure the box "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" is unchecked. If it is checked, uncheck it, click Apply, and restart your PC to see if the issue persists.
