Logging in to Windows 10

Hello kausky,

 

Try these steps:

 

  1. Open Registry Editor.
  2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Personalization.
  3. In the right pane of Personalization, create new registry DWORD named NoLockScreen and set it to 1.
  4. Close Registry Editor and reboot to make changes.

    KapilAryaThank you Kapil for your quick response. I will do as you suggested. Just wanted to reiterate that I do actually need a lockscreen but want to avoid that extra keystroke to bring up the password dialog before typing in my password (that is, the lockscreen should, by default, display the password input box with the cursor active, ready for password to be typed in directly).

     

    I suppose this is what the steps you suggested will do?
