File Explorer freezing and Desktop freezing.

Hello, I'm having this problem on my computer with File Explorer and the Desktop in general. The problem is that whenever I right click on File Explorer or open an application, it just freezes. The problem on the Desktop is whenever I right click on a program, it also freezes. I've had this problem since last year but now I feel like I should report this issue.

which Windows 10 build and version are you on?

@HotCakeX  I'm on Windows 10 home 64-bit. My version of Windows 10 is 1909.

please try updating to the latest version, which is currently 20H2
you can use Windows update or this official page

Hello,

Suggest you to run System File Checker scan:

1. Search for 'command prompt' using Cortana or Windows Search.

2. From results, right click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.

3. Type sfc /scannow command and press Enter key.

4. Let the command complete and then reboot the machine.

If issue still persists, perform clean boot:
