Re: A major step backwards: Classic Outlook vs. New Outlook on changing the "From" sending account
Thanks for sharing this--it confirms the issue I'm seeing. I'm trying once again to make the switch from Outlook classic to new but ran into this issue; yet another one to add to the list of reasons not to switch to New Outlook.224Views1like0CommentsRe: Allow only specific domain to email a distribution group
VasilMichev - I already tried a mail-flow rule and it didn't work; and then I found the reason why: "Note - If the Mail flow rule is configured to check for the recipient where the recipient is a distribution group, the rule won't be matched. When the message is sent to a distribution group, the group will be resolved to distinct users of that group before reaching Mail flow rules and instead, will check every member of a group." I'd like to allow only a specific external sender domain to send email to our distribution group (DG) in M365. (The DG is actually a mail-enabled security group synced from AD.) I see that a mail-flow rule doesn't process until after the DG is expanded, so can't match the DG as the recipient. I see that the DG has an attribute dLMemSubmitPerms to specify who's permitted to send to the group, but I think that is only for objects in AD and wouldn't be able to use an external domain? When I try to modify dLMemSubmitPerms I get an error anyway. So how can this be done?Solved10KViews0likes6CommentsRe: Configure team site libraries to sync automatically
jdlavallee When I tested applying all libraries to a user, the result was all libraries would attempt to sync and show up in File Explorer, but if the user tried to access one that they did not have permissions to it would just be blank. So if there was a "Top Secret information about employees" library, all users would see that library but no data underneath it if they don't have rights. That wouldn't work. I'd prefer users to only see the libraries to which they get access... Unless I'm missing something that you're doing differently so users only ever see the libraries to which they have access?6.6KViews0likes1CommentRe: Configure team site libraries to sync automatically
Moe_Kinani Thanks, Moe_Kinani , for the additional information. Very helpful. But I decided to continue using the out of box config policy and was able to create mutually exclusive groups by making use of Include and Exclude in the policies--just takes a bit of extra thinking of the group logic. So each policy applies to that mutually exclusive group and includes all the sync libraries for that group. Appears to be working! Regards, Jeff8KViews0likes0Comments
