Issue: Computer experiencing freezing episodes randomly, even during light usage. Hardware: - CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X (not overclocked) - Motherboard: Gigabyte 570x Elite Wifi - GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC - RAM: Gigabyte Ballistix 3600 32GB - Storage: Samsung 970 PRO NVMe - Operating System: Windows 11 Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.1778) - Applications: Steam, Chrome, Brave Browser, Discord Troubleshooting Steps Taken: 1. Removed all SATA SSDs, running only on the new NVMe drive. 2. Reinstalled Windows 11 and installed the latest Nvidia driver for the RTX 3080. 3. Conducted a thorough RAM test which passed without issues. 4. Ran Prime 95 stress test on the CPU, monitored temperatures which remained within optimal range. Observations: - The system runs smoothly while gaming (playing Apex Legends, DOOM, Battlefield). - However, random freezes occur when idle on the desktop or using a browser. - Event Viewer analysis did not reveal any prominent issues. - Addressed DCOM errors, but the freezes persisted. Attempts: - Considered switching to Windows 10 on a separate drive, but encountered freezing during installation and post-installation. - Suspicions are leaning towards a hardware-related issue, as the problem persists across different Windows versions. Assessment: - Considering potential CPU instability or failure as a factor due to stability under load. - Contemplating the idea of adjusting CPU voltage slightly higher than usual to enhance stability during normal operation. Seeking Recommendations: Seeking advice and fresh suggestions to resolve persistent freezing issues regardless of the attempted operating system installations. Open to any insights or guidance provided.294Views0likes2CommentsOnline and Other Forms of Identification
Hello, I have recently made the switch to Windows 11 Pro and everything is running smoothly, except for a particular issue with website credentials. Even after selecting 'save this device,' it doesn't seem to make any difference. Every time I access platforms like YouTube, Google, Netflix, and Amazon, I have to go through the same Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) process, even though I have saved my login information. For any website where I have an account, my credentials are not being saved. It's especially frustrating with Netflix, as I receive emails every time a new device is used, despite using the service daily. Could you please help me identify the cause of this issue and suggest how I can resolve it? Thank you, Nacho125Views0likes1CommentIncreased Vertical Spacing for Jump List
Hello everyone, I'm regretting my recent upgrade to Win11! However, I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. One issue I'm facing is the excessive line spacing in the jump list, which makes it difficult to view a good number of items easily. How can I decrease the line spacing in jump lists? (The jump list refers to the list of currently open items that appears when you hover over an application on the taskbar. If there are too many items to display horizontally, they appear in a vertical list.)169Views0likes1CommentHow to Sync Your Desktop with Your Professional Account

Greetings to all! As a software developer, I've come across a persisting issue with hangs on my system recently. While occasional crashes are somewhat expected in Windows 11, lasting only about a second or so, my system has been freezing up during daily tasks, particularly when working on projects in Visual Studio. Curiously, the audio continues playing smoothly even after the system becomes unresponsive. Oddly enough, my high-end PC doesn't encounter these freezes when running graphics-intensive games like GTA5 or Valorant on ultra settings, only during regular use. Despite checking the event viewer, the cause of these hangs remains elusive, ruling out malware, hardware issues, or system overload as potential culprits. One workaround I've employed in the past for a taskbar-related glitch was using ExplorerPatcher. Nevertheless, the recurring system freezes persist, forcing me to resort to a hard reset as the only solution to regain control.189Views0likes0CommentsIs it safe to remove DriveFS from Google Drive?
I'm nearly out of storage space and need to free up some room. I've discovered a folder within the Google Drive that's occupying nearly 12GB of space. Can I safely delete this folder? Additionally, inside the DriveFS folder, there is another sub-folder labeled with a number.285Views0likes0CommentsLaptop automatically restarts when the lid is opened.
After closing my laptop lid and opening it later, instead of waking up from sleep mode, the laptop is unexpectedly performing a full restart. This issue persists even after adjusting the settings to disable automatic restart in Advanced System Settings. To troubleshoot this further, I re-enabled automatic restart but now encounter a different problem - the screen remains black upon opening the lid, with no response to input from the mouse or keyboard. I am forced to perform a manual shutdown each time this occurs. How can I address the unexpected restarts and the black screen issue that only arise when I close and reopen the laptop lid?316Views0likes0Comments
