I have updated my SharePoint server 2013 to 2016 using an IPU. After the update it seems like my SharePoint 2016 Management Shell broke. It seems like no snap-ins have been registered. I am new at SharePoint and I have been looking at the best way to upgrade my SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint 2016. I just don't know what will be the best route? Any help I would greatly appreciate it. I have a SharePoint 2013 on a Windows Server 2012 R2 which I need to update to Windows server 2016. I also have a SQL 2012 on a Windows Server 2012 R2. Both servers need to get upgraded to 2016. I read that I need to first stand up 2 2016 servers one for SP and the other for SQL, then migrate the content over. Is there a specific order that I should be doing this? Should I do my SQL first? Or it doesn't really matter? Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all!900Views0likes1Comment
