I have noticed the Microsoft Teams kind of deliberately worsen my sound quality (on phone) in both the call it self and any media while in call, what is curious is that as soon as I leave the call media sound quality comes back and for a brief moment even the voices in the call If anyone knows what's going on please contact me.
