Dear Training Services Partners,

Advances in AI, cloud computing, and emerging technologies have made it more important than ever to demonstrate proficiency in the most sought-after technical skills. As a result, organizations are quickly adopting a skills-based approach as they search for the right people, with the right skills, at the right time.

As part of our commitment to providing industry-leading skill-building solutions, we've been evolving our credentials and instructor-led training offerings. We’d like to share some of those updates and provide guidance on how you can approach them.

Microsoft Credentials

Microsoft Credentials offer the complementary power of the new Microsoft Applied Skills, which help individuals prove project-specific skills, and our industry-recognized Microsoft Certifications, which continue to help ensure critical role-based skills for cloud and AI transformation. Because these credentials are verified by Microsoft, they offer a signal of trust for individuals and organizations to identify the right people for essential technical roles and specialized scenarios.

Instructor-led training

With the introduction of Applied Skills and with our focus on skills-first training solutions, our instructor-led training (ILT) is evolving.

ILT aligned to Microsoft Certifications

This is the training you’ve been delivering since we introduced our role-based certification model.

  • These courses are designed to help prepare for Microsoft Certification exams, inclusive of fundamentals, role-based, or specialties.
  • Duration can vary from 3-5 days.
  • Learners gain multiple skills.
  • The content for this training is visible on the course detail pages on Microsoft Learn.

ILT aligned to Microsoft Applied SkillsThis is the new training we’ve released that is aligned to the new Applied Skills credentials.

  • This training is designed to help prepare for the Microsoft Applied Skills lab-based assessments.
  • Duration is 1 day.
  • Learners gain one skill, aligned to scenarios or projects.
  • The content for this training is visible on the Applied Skills detail pages on Microsoft Learn.

Other ILT not aligned to Microsoft Credentials

You’ve been delivering some of this training for several years and we’re releasing more in the upcoming months.

  • We offer a variety of training content that cover topics not aligned to credentials.
  • Duration can vary from 1-5 days.
  • Depending on the training, learners can gain one or mor skills.
  • Depending on the training, the content can be visible on course detail pages or as learning paths on Microsoft Learn.

What does this mean to you?

These updates are part of our ongoing effort to refine and improve the training experience for both our partners and learners.

We're striving to better support your efforts in delivering top-tier training solutions. We’ve updated the Monthly Title Plan with the direct link where you can find how to request the achievement code for each ILT offering.
