SUrface Hub 3 will not Auto zoom or use intelli frame

Hello,

I would love to know if any other Surface Hub 3 users are experiencing the same issue on there device.

We've recently acquired a new Surface Hub 3, but we're encountering an issue with the device's Smart Camera feature. It seems that the camera isn't automatically zooming or utilizing IntelliFrame during Teams meetings; instead, it remains consistently zoomed out throughout the session.

Interestingly, we tested the Smart Camera on another Surface Hub 2, which is running the older Windows 10 Teams OS, and it auto zooms without any problems.

What's even more curious is that when we're logged into the admin\Windows 11 account on the Surface Hub and using the camera app, it zooms and utilizes IntelliFrame seamlessly. It seems to bnot be able to bring this feature over to the Teams MTR Account..

Any insights or feedback on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ben

Same issue!  Did you get a fix?  In our case it is a 2S that has been upgraded to Teams Rooms experience.  Worked before the upgrade.

      Nope!

We never managed to get the smart camera to auto Zoom,

I was in touch with MS support but was basically told after much back and forth and many repeat questions where I supplied the same info multiple times that this is the expected behavior of the device.

I bought this smart camera because it looked like it would work well with our setup - Surface Hub 2s updated to Teams Room.  It does not work, and there is no indication anywhere of compatibility issues.  If I exit the Teams Room app into Windows 11, intelli frame does work as expected, just not during a Teams Meeting where it is needed.

I feel as if I have been duped into purchasing an $800 upgrade that does not work, especially since Microsoft has very vague intentions here.

If anyone has a workaround or gets better information from someone at Microsoft that has a clue, please post.

Same issue and Microsoft support are being, frankly, useless.

Apparently the dev team know about this and "it will be released at a future update fix". To which I asked when is the timeframe and was told "sometime in the future".

Useless. I hate beta testing software that is released. Basic Camera functions should not get worse 😞
