Why Won't It Send A Code?!?!?!

I have a very important document sent to me through One Drive, and I get to the step where it wants me to put in a code, and go figure... nothing. Nothing in my inbox NOR my junk mail. I tried adding the email email address removed for privacy reasons as a contact, and it still doesn't work. I'm unbelievably frustrated at how useless of an application this is. It feels like its only purpose is to be a roadblock to accessing your documents... No matter how many troubleshooting solutions I try, it does not work. Does ANYONE have an answer for this?
