A.
This consistent SharePoint Online error message shown in the Word file attachment is always received when sharing Office/PDF documents sent from Outlook O365 email client.
This misleading error message shown in the Word file attachment is automatically received in the Outlook O365 client when sharing a SharePoint Online Office document that is probably related to Exchange Online.
Is there an option in SharePoint Online to disable this fake error message to avoid further confusion?
B.
The actual action done from the Outlook O365 mail client is shown in the Word file attachment.
C.
This error e-mail automatically received is obviously sent from the internal mail server at Bergen municipality since the e-mail domain name is @bergen.kommune.no :
MicrosoftExchange329e71ec88ae4615bbc36ab6ce41109e@bergen.kommune.no
D.
The email header reveals nothing in the Internet message header as the screenshot shown in the Word file attachment illustrate.
The final question is:
1)
Is the reason for this false error message that Bergen municipality uses Exchange 2016 mail server OnPrem and not Exchange Online?
And thus we can safely ignore this error message?
OR
2)
Is there an option in SharePoint Online to disable this fake error message to avoid further confusion?
