Search across sites from associated hub sites

Hi all,

When creating a hub site in SPO, Search across Sites is possible from the hub site itself.

But on linked/associated sites, only search within that site is possible and available. 

Is there any way we can get "Search across sites" available on the linked/associated sites as well?

If you search and hit enter, in the breadcrumb nav you can select the Hub site, or all of SharePoint, but I agree, would be nice if we could set the sites search box settings to use once of those 3 scopes (Site, Hub, All).
