Recurring Item on SharePoint List

Copper Contributor

Hello,

I need to build a SharePoint list to record training session scheduled.

Some sessions are recurring like weekly or bi-weekly.

Is there a way to duplicate the initial item as new item to same list based on the frequency selected, but only date updated?

For example: a recurrent session scheduled to host on alternate Tuesdays in February 2024

Desired outcome:

  • Item ID#1: Training ABC   |   Peter   |   Feb 6, 2024 2:00 PM   |  Feb 6, 2024 4:00 PM   |   2 Hours   |   https://xxx.zoom.us/...   |   Bi-Weekly   |   May 31, 2024   |   1 times per week
  • Item ID#2: Training ABC   |   Peter   |   Feb 13, 2024 2:00 PM   |  Feb 13, 2024 4:00 PM   |   2 Hours   |   https://xxx.zoom.us/...   |   Bi-Weekly   |   May 31, 2024   |   1 times per week
  • Item ID#3: Training ABC   |   Peter   |   Feb 20, 2024 2:00 PM   |  Feb 20, 2024 4:00 PM   |   2 Hours   |   https://xxx.zoom.us/...   |   Bi-Weekly   |   May 31, 2024   |   1 times per week
  • Item ID#3: Training ABC   |   Peter   |   Feb 27, 2024 2:00 PM   |  Feb 27, 2024 4:00 PM   |   2 Hours   |   https://xxx.zoom.us/...   |   Bi-Weekly   |   May 31, 2024   |   1 times per week

Hello. Recurring events do not seem to be supported by modern SharePoint lists unfortunately. Microsoft would prefer you use the group calendar attached to a Microsoft 365 group.
