We have started using retention policies in SharePoint to ensure items are not deleted before the retention policy is due (for example, we must keep invoices for 7 years).
Currently, our users can remove a retention label and then delete an item from SharePoint. This is fine for some of our users as it means they can delete an item if they upload by mistake, but we would like to restrict this if we can.
Is it possible to prevent some users from being able to remove labels whilst still having 'Contribute' on a list/library?
