Please help! ALL Modern pages impacted | SharePoint spacing issue
The corrected spacing between paragraphs is a fix we implemented to return to previous modern page spacing, fixing a bug we introduced while making a performance improvement in late 2020. At that time, we removed virtually all space between paragraphs, making reading quite difficult for many users.
Our design team discovered this issue in late March, and we've been slowly rolling out the bug fix for the last few months. We recently moved to the final phase of the flight roll-out from 50% to 100% WW.
Here's is a comparison picture of the current (and previous spacing on modern pages), and the brief time when we had extremely tight spacing introduced by the performance optimization.

If the fix somehow introduced some other spacing oddness, we're unaware of, please let us know.
The intended fix adds back spacing between all paragraphs. fyi Bruno Aleixo
John_Sanders Thank you for your reply. Here's an easy to share example below of how bug fix makes content look. This wasn't what modern page spacing was like prior to late 2020.

We have exactly the same issue: excessive line height above the first item in a bulleted list, and not enough line height under the last item in a bulleted list (before a new paragraph).
Our sites are almost unreadable and impossible to layout. We are getting the runaround from Microsoft Support. They have said:
"Based on the update received this is a default behavior which they intended to change and after raising multiple request to our team they confirmed that the behavior is by design as of now."
Totally unacceptable.

This example (James M) perfectly illustrates the issue we currently have a ticket open for.
I believe the previous spacing issues may well have been improved, but in doing so a new bug has been introduced that doesn't close off/pad/space ordered or bulleted lists properly. - Bryce McMillanJun 27, 2021Iron Contributor
+1 from me.
The screenshots provided by James are basically representative of what we're seeing but add to that is a certain level of inconsistency in the spacing. I have provided Bruno with our ticket number and it would be greatly appreciated if you could continue investigating.
