Open PDF documents with the edge browser

I try to open PDF documents stored in SharePoint via the edge browser. Even if I say Adobe is the default programm for PDF documents in Edge it will open in the browser. The problem is that when I want to print this document I miss some settings in the printer menu.

 

Is it possible to open an pdf document in Edge directly in adobe?

    Hi Maurits,

     

    Because SharePoint default will go to a browser view it opens in Edge.. or your default browser. The only way to do this is by downloading the .PDF. and then open it.

      You can also change the option how to handle documents at all: Either open it in browser (which is default afair) or open it in client software. Then you can set your adobe pdf reade as default software on your client to open PDF files.
