Office is opening old versions of documents from SharePoint Online

I have a user with a Macbook, where when she opens certain SharePoint Online documents an older version of the document is opened.  I believe this is an issue with Office Document Cache and I need to clear that, but I have been unable to figure out how to do that on a Macbook.  Any suggestions?
