Modern Group Connected Site: Can't rename Site title

What's the trick for changing the display title of SPO site that is connected to a Group? the Site Settings page no longer has the option to do this?

Make sure you also change the Site Description. If you set both the Site Title and Site Description then click apply, the changes will take.

@Rasmus Österholm Because a decent interface would let you update the Title only and not force you to change the description without actually telling you it obligatory due to poor programming.

@Trevor Seward I can change the title but the change does not apply to the small page heading. In the example below, I deleted 'Project' and the term following it. The change took for the large title but not the page heading (circled).

The site is subordinate to the SharePoint Online site that's associated with a Team. The site template is Project Site.
