Link to Files that need attention

I would like to send out a link to the "Files that need attention" view. When anyone clicks on the link that has full access to the site/library, the view shows no files. They have to manually select the "Files that need attention" view to see these files. It is the exact same URL but MS must have something else going on behind the scenes to render these files (i.e. it is more than just the URL).

@Hawkeye_Keenan make sure you've set the "Files that need attention" view to be the default view.

I tried your suggestion, and it does not save the "Files that need attention" view as the default view.
