Delete a SharePoint Group

Hi All,

 

I noticed that there is a "Modern Group" in our site, which is different from the standard SharePoint Group. How was it made, we are not sure. But when I try to delete this group under site permissions\peoples and groups, an error comes up (see image below). Can someone help/advise how can I delete this group?

    For what I see this a SharePoint site connected to a Microsoft 365 Group what happens when you create a Team Site or you create a Microsoft Teams Team. This is by design and you cannot delete the Microsoft 365 Group since it governs the site membership
