MS Project Help Needed

Copper Contributor

All,

I have a task that needs to start exactly 6 months after another task. Would the best way to go about building that in the schedule be to make the earlier task a start to start predecessor and add on 6 months of lag time? Sorry if it is a "newbie" question but haven't used MS Project in 20 years and trying to teach myself and learn. I appreciate the help.

Thank You

sirsleep29,
Yes that would be the best way, but. . . are you looking for a delay of 6 working months or 6 calendar months? Entering Xss+6mon as the task dependency will give you 6 working months which are by default 20 days per month. However, if what you really want is 6 calendar months, then use: Xss+6emon.

Hope this helps.
