How do I copy tasks in a Project Kanban?
How do I copy tasks in a Project Kanban? I want to create a template task and then copy it multiple times and then edit each task.

OK, you are using Project for the Web and NOT Microsoft Project. Here is what you can do. Open your project and apply the Grid view, then insert the Bucket column in the Grid view using the + Add Column button. Drag the Bucket column to the right of the Name column. Select the tasks you want to copy, then right-click on the selected tasks and choose the Copy Task item on the shortcut menu. This will copy the selected tasks to your Clipboard. At the bottom of the task list, click the + Add New Task line, which will give you a blank line. Press Control + V to paste the new tasks. Edit the name of each task, as needed, and then specify the correct Bucket value for each pasted task. When you return to the Board view, you will see your duplicated tasks in the correct Buckets. Hope this helps.

Please tell us what version of Project you are using as that likely will determine how to answer your question.

You say you want to create a template and then by, "copy and edit", I assume you want to create multiple files from that template. Is the existing file already a template file (i.e. XXX.mpt)? If so, then open it, make the necessary changes and then Save As to a new file name.
If it is not already a template, make it into one via Save As. Just be sure to check the path so the template is where you want it. As I recall, by default templates are saved in the templates folder.
Hope this helps.
