List Forms designed with PowerApps - Interface Change after Microsoft Update
An update was rolled out to M365 Tenants I believe which included new Microsoft Lists User Experience Update.
Existing lists configured with PowerApps forms were updated after this rollout and forms using full width (Large landscape orientation) now appear with horizontal scrollbar.
Forms also appear as a dialog box rather than from bottom right. Under list settings, open forms as dialog box are selected as a No.
Is it possible to fix this through Admin Center configuration for PowerApps or SharePoint? Have community members observed this as well?
- AlfredoR1250Copper ContributorCame here exactly for the same thing. The new look of the form as dialog box is considerably hindering user experience since the layout of the app was built around the previous look of the right side panel. Looking forward to some guidance on this.
- Spencey11Copper ContributorI have the same problem and it looks like the PowerApps custom form size Large Landscape doesnt't fit the new popup modal experience. I have reduced one form to 800px width and it did fit the popup on my desk screen. Having saidf that I then proceeded to connect to a monitor with a different resolution and I now have the scrollers back. ;-(
If i go to the display settings within PowerApps when designing the custom form there is no option to toggle the form to fit the screen resolution/ratio as there is with a canvas app. Maybe this toggle could be added to SharePoint/Microsoft Lists custom apps. Or is the long term plan to try and force people to use Microsoft forms integration and just not have the same capability...
It would be great if this could be fixed as i am stuck in limbo at the moment of what to do next.- AlfredoR1250Copper Contributor
I've given up on trying to use the dialog box at all. I'm just going to create a canvas app for users to search records and open them in a new tab to show in full screen. And I'm going to show the app together with the the list in a same page.
