ECIF Funding Eligibility

Copper Contributor

Hello Microsoft Tech Community!

We are Serraform a new Microsoft Partner specializing in Security & Compliance and have a question on End Customer Investment Funds (ECIF) funding.  Hoping someone can help us.

How to we become eligible to accept ECIF funding for our M365 Security & Compliance deployments?  Is satisfying the requirements for a Solutions Partner designation sufficient, that is achieving 70 of 100 points in 1 of the 6 partner categories + achieving more than zero points in each of the 4 metrics?

We are in talks with a few prospects and they are interested in leveraging ECIF.  Any guidance would be super helpful.

Thanks!

Aaron

Hi @AaronSerraform

did you reach out to the mail address?

If so did you receive any feedback or information that might be worth sharing? Since I am currently also looking into ECIF Eligibility 🙂

Best regards,
Kevin

Hi @AaronSerraform

I've started managing this community as of yesterday, August 24, 2023, however, I apologize for the delay.

ECIF must be granted in accordance with MS Policy (End Customer Investment Funding Policy (formerly known as BIF policy). There are two types of funds for consulting and product support services, Internal funds and External funds. Internal funds are used to pay for Microsoft Services (MCS, Premier) whereas External funds are used to pay for external ECIF authorized partners. The overall VL amendment process is the same for both types of funds for consulting and product support services.

Partners who provide a SoW with projected Azure Consumed Revenue at a 10:1 ratio can apply for ECIF funding to provide one-on-one training to enhance customer skills and/or the adoption of Azure cloud solutions.

Hi @AaronSerraform and @kezero91
Was wondering if either of you get any feedback from the ECIF team? I tried multiple times but in the end they advised us to contact our "Microsoft Internal Contact" which I'm not aware of. Did you get similar advice? If so do you have a Microsoft account manager? How are they assigned? Any information would be helpful!
Thank you in advance.
You need to call a Microsoft account on your big customer and he will start the ECIF eligibility for your company, if he wants. 🙂
Bye.
Raffa!

@Dreamaker

Couldn't get you fully!

We have a customer who is telling that he wants to work with a company who has ECIF Certificate! What to do in this case? How long will it take to get this certificate and what is the procedure?

@Solutn_lover - We are in this exact situation too. Did you manage to get to the bottom of it? If so, any pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated
