To do reminders not showing in new Outlook on Mac

Using the 'old Outlook' for Mac, reminders set in To Do appear in the same way as meeting reminders.

Using the 'new Outlook' for Mac, the same reminders don't work. I did find I can switch on Apple notification-style reminders for To Do, but as these are not as effective as the Outlook reminder window, they get missed.

Is there a way to get the To Do reminders to show as Outlook reminders when using the new Outlook for Mac?
