Outlook Editor doesn't save multiple languages
When adding multiple languages in Outlook's Editor (web), it doesn't save them when closing the browser. It only leaves the default one.
It's frustrating since I have to manually add again those languages every time I open the browser.
As a side note, I'm not logging off from my Microsoft account, just closing the browser.

kanonkosmos I have the same problem but with the desktop new outlook application. Since a month ago, the editor doesn't save multiple languages.
- rogerreedCopper ContributorHello,
It looks like there might be a problem with your browser settings or cookies stopping Outlook from saving the languages you added. Here are some things you can do to try and fix it:
• Clear the browser cache and cookies: This can help resolve any temporary issues with saving settings. You can usually find this option in the browser settings menu.
• Check browser extensions: Some browser extensions or add-ons may interfere with website functionality. Try disabling any extensions related to language settings or browser management.
• Try a different browser: If the issue persists, try using a different web browser to see if the problem is specific to your current browser.
• Contact Outlook support: If none of the above solutions work, it's best to reach out to Outlook support for further assistance. They may be able to identify any underlying issues with the web editor and provide a solution.
I hope these steps work for you.- kanonkosmosIron Contributor
rogerreedI tried clearing the cache and cookies, different browsers (Firefox, Edge, Chrome) and extensions disabled, but that doesn't solve the problem,
- rogerreedCopper ContributorNow, It's a good idea to contact Outlook support for more help. They can find out if there are any problems with the web editor and help fix them.
- werweer365Copper ContributorI have the same problem and "clear browser cache", does nothing

I'm facing the same issue on the New Outlook. It is extremely frustrating to have to set the additional proofing language every time the app is restarted.
Why MS uses us as beta testers? Can't they at least pay us for the work? - WulfenCopper Contributor
Same problem here. Outlook saves only the English language for spelling & grammatical checks. EVERY day I have to add German manually OR have all my text marked as misspelled.
- arpia49Copper ContributorSame here, using "New Outlook". If someone finds a solution, let us know.

Same thing. Selecting my languages every day.
Does Microsoft look at this?

Either MS fixed it today or the following workaround worked:
Instead of adding the same language every day, I just added two. Today I have both.
- niclasfundinCopper ContributorI have the same problem. Have anyone found a solution or got feedback from MS?
- amornardCopper ContributorNo news on this issue on August, 21st 2024 !!!

kanonkosmos Same problem here with desktop version.
It seems it saves my preferences for a few days.
But then I have to add my third language again .
The language I add is Dutch (netherlands).
English and German it does remember.- awyszogrodzkiCopper Contributor
thijsgriepinkThis may be the case, you can add third bogus (not needed) language to the list, after that I've closed the browser (firefox), after reopening browser and login to the outlook again, all languages are in the same position as were set before. The same in another browser used for outlook (Chrome). So far all is good, though no guarantee if that is a permanent solution.

awyszogrodzki Thanks for your suggestion! I added an extra language and see what happens the next few weeks.
