Hi world
About a week ago I've updated to the 'New Outlook' and it worked great but the regret hit me yesterday as I'm no longer able to use my emails in Outlook. I was creating a mail and at the moment of clicking 'Send', I was kicked out. It was asking for my IMAP password again. As you'll see below, I am unable to select 'Secure connection type', the drop-down box is just empty and clicking it just highlights the box.
When filling in all settings, I instantly get 'Sign in failed', it doesn't even seem to try to make any connection.
The troubleshooting details generated the following:
{"SessionId":"f6a0dfe9-ef21-420a-aff2-60c643f3va00","Timestamp":1697694567618}
It also states to contact my administrator but I am the administrator.
Clicking on 'Troubleshoot for me' brings me back to the 'Welcome to the new Outlook' page where I can select my account again but when I then click 'Continue', it states 'This email account has already been added.'.
What's worse is that I do not seem to have the ability to return to the "Old" Outlook 2021! Why does Microsoft always have to make things so horrible? Please advise.

SolutionWhew, solved it!
I had to create a new account because the welcome page wouldn't let me log into any other account (!), so I've created one (email address removed for privacy reasons, considering how I feel about the company right now). Then I got the button back to return to the old Outlook, and rectified settings there – I had recently changed my password. Then I could jump back to the new Outlook to recover the mail I was sending.
Why does it even keep the original icon? Both of them open the new Outlook anyway:

@Diane_Poremsky_MVP Even when I launch it from the Start menu, it just opens the 'New' Outlook. It's a shame the Outlook team didn't add a failsafe to switch to the 'old' version. I also tested Shift/Ctrl/Alt + launching Outlook but that didn't do a thing. Well, except for launching Outlook 🙃
