Syncing photos

I’ve got sync turned on between gallery photos on phone and one drive, my question is if I turn sync off and turn back on at a later date will onedrive duplicate the previous photos downloaded or will it detect it has already downloaded the older photos and only download the new ones.

Wondering what you mean by "duplicate"?

Do you mean like the file names are the same or the photos are the same?

If the file names are the same, it will show a error and ask you if you want to replace or not.

Yes it will if the file name isn't the same
