Freeing up space on android after backing up to OneDrive (choosing)

Hello there.

I have a Google Pixel 6 and am backing up my photos to OneDrive (I have the 1TB plan). I always have the notification from OneDrive asking me if I want to remove the duplicate files from my phone that are already backed up. However, I do not want to remove everything, just the large videos. Is there a way I can choose which photos/videos I can remove from my device but not from OneDrive?

I have tried going to my photos and choosing "Remove from device," but that removes it from OneDrive as well (I even tried turning off backup and then deleting).
