SharePoint workflow - document feedback
Hi
I'm new to workflows so I might be under some misconceptions here. Please correct me if my assumptions are wrong.
I'm trying to set up a workflow where a document is uploaded to a share point document library and members need to review the document and provide feedback.
Two things that I'd like to focus on:
1. The feedback messages from all members should be easily accessible by the originator
2. It should be clear who has or has not provided feedback yet
I've created a dummy word document in a document library and started a "Collect Feedback - sharePoint 2010" workflow assigning it to myself to test it out.
I received an email as follows:
.....
To complete this task:
1. Review https://ncfe1.sharepoint.com/sites/SFATeam20/Shared%20Documents/Feedback.docx.
2. Perform the specific activities required for this task.
3. Use the Open this task button to mark the task as completed. (If you cannot update this task, you might not have access to it.)
When I click on "Feedback", it prompts me to download the file.
a) can't the word document (it was created in the document library) be open in a browser?
b) how exactly are the members going to be leaving feedback for me
It says use the Open this task button, I can't see the button anywhere.
Please advise on the above. Alternatively, suggest another method to accomplish this task.
Thank you
Marcin

Hi Marcin,
It looks like you refer to SharePoint OOTB "Collect Feedback" workflow?
Maybe you can have a look at this post to see if this addressed your question, it has some detailed screenshots.

Besides, which version of SharePoint you are using? If you are using SharePoint online ( with Office 365 ) you can consider to use Microsoft Flow as well.
