Can't type certain symbols in O365 Apps

Hello all,

 

Since a couple of days ago I noticed that I couldn't type certain symbols anymore in my O365 apps. When pressing these keys, the computer does not react. These are the symbols I know that are not working: | @ # [

 

All O365 apps are affected: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. It seems to be working for Teams or any other application / browser.

 

I use the Belgian (period) keyboard layout, it is the only language installed on the computer and also the only language pack for Office.

 

I already tried to plug an external keyboard to my laptop but this also does not work.

A full reinstall also did not work.

 

Has anybody else experienced an issue like this? Help is very much appreciated!

Try renaming/deleting the normal.dot template and see if it makes a difference.
