Viewing other team members Calendars in Teams

Copper Contributor
I have a team set up with 12 members of a leadership group. All members have agreed to share their main outlook calendar with each other. This has been achieved using the sharing permissions so they can see each other’s calendars in Outlook. They are now asking if it’s possible to view these calendars from within the teams app. When you go to the calendar tab in teams, you see your default outlook calendar. I’d like to be able to select which of the calendars you can view in outlook shows here.

Hi @Glenn_Bardon

Unfortunately, not currently possible. There has been a lot of demand for this. Microsoft is working on it and overhauling the calendar functionality per uservoice

https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/18893194-teams-needs-a-real-ca...

They are also working on adding Office 365 Group Calendars to Teams

https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/16933204-include-office-365-gr...

There is a workaround to this in terms of opening the associated Office 365 Group Calendar via a SharePoint Tab in the Team

https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Teams/Sharing-a-Teams-Calendar/m-p/359601

So you could use the Office 365 Group mailbox as a workaround here and have users book in that calendar when booking appointments: however this would be manual and, of course, liable to error or missed appointments. To natively see others shared calendars within the calendars tab alongside yours - Microsoft have only confirmed they are working on it per the uservoice, so could be some time until we see this surface. Nothing was mentioned previously at Ignite in November so we'll have to wait and see

I would personally love to see this functionality

Hope that answers your question

Best, Chris
There’s also a custom app that does this somewhere on the internet :) I’ll see if I can find it
I wouldn't resort to a third party app, which probably costs, in order to do something which ought to be native in the product and to which they are currently working on :D
Agree, but it’s a custom app, free to add to the AppStore! Tried this out a while ago
I agree. Third party wont be allowed in my organization's IT infrastructure

@adam deltinger , Could you p[lease share me the link if you have. I will try nevertheless.

Hi @Christopher Hoard,

I get a 404 on the uservoice?

@Christopher Hoard any update on this request?

I would like to bump this. The initial response of "working on this" was from 2019, and its now 2023.
Any progress on this, I hate Outlook, and TBH teams needs a lot of work, including this.
Likewise, I get a 404 on user voice. It would be a very useful feature and one I looked for very shortly after transferring to Teams. I imagine it is quite a desired addition. The workaround of using the scheduling assistant can suffice if desperate in the short term, but not for the long term (bearing in mind this appears to have been high demand over three years ago, so who knows).
I have done some digging and found the following on the microsoft feedback portal here:

https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/a4b7aa9b-d239-ed11-9db0-000d3a4e3f39

It appears to be a replacement for the uservoice platform.

@Glenn_Bardon INterested by this feature too.

I read that a workaoround exist using a sharepoint page in teams, but the related link is now archived.

Could some body un-archive it ?

thank you!!
