Video files shared on Teams won’t play (iPad)

I need to access some videos that were shared under the “files” tab in a certain Team but when I try to access one of the videos (400MB, .mov) it would load for a while then a banner saying “preview unavailable” would pop up. When I try another smaller video file (40MB, .mp4) it plays just fine.

 

Is there a file size restriction or formatting restriction? Or something else entirely?

    Hi,

    In this instance I would question more the file type of .mov over the more common .mp4.

    There are a lot of files that can be viewed in situ but not all. So in this instance it would be a question of downloading and providing your device has a suitable program to play .mov files you should be good to go.

    However after saying all of the above, according to the following .mov is a valid preview file type:
