When the conversation is initially rendered, click a thumbnail image, the zoomed image is displayed, so far so good, click the background and dismiss the zoomed image. Click the thumbnail image once more, the zoomed image is not displayed. Now move the mouse away from the thumbnail image. The moment the mouse cursor leaves the bounds of the thumbnail image the zoomed image is displayed.
