Teams Taking 10/15 minutes to connect to a conference
Hi Guys, I am writing to report this problem that has been making me crazy for a week.
I am an Italian university student, we are following the online lessons through this platform, but every time I have to connect to a conference, the program takes 10 minutes to connect to the room. ("connection in progress").
I give you some info on the PC i use
- ASUS GL703GM
- Bitdefender Total Security 2020 (with permissions granted to Teams by firewall)
- Cable Ethernet 300Mbps Download / 20Mbps Upload / usually 10/8 ping depends on server obviously
Would anyone know how to help me identify the problem? (i alrwady tried cleaning cache without any results)

Hi,
Do you have the same problem if you use a web browser, test with the new Edge browser or Chrome, and go to https://teams.microsoft.com and you should be able to sign in to Teams.
You can also check you connectivity to Teams with Network Testing Companion.
Yeah i have the same problem in the browser version (same with Chrome and Edge)... The curious thing is that once it connect the first time, it works just fine, and if i try to reconnect for example to another room is nearly istantaneus. LinusCansby

- Can you try to connect via another network or another computer?
