I totally agree with you and I am sure that something like that will be possible in the future.

I recommend you to post this issue (feature request) to Microsoft Feedback Portal (Microsoft Teams · Community) or to give a feedback directly to Microsoft using Microsoft Teams app by clicking on ... > Help > Give Feedback.
