Teams Installation failed

Copper Contributor

Hi, On Win11 Pro build 26058 trying to install Teams with downloaded file MSTeamsSetup_c_l.exe and get "Installation has failed. There was an error ..." etc. with a log file where the culprit appears to be found in the lines

---> (Inner Exception #0) System.Management.Automation.CmdletInvocationException: The type initializer for '<Module>' threw an exception. ---> System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for '<Module>' threw an exception. ---> System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'WinRT.Projections' threw an exception. ---> System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Numerics.Vectors, Version=4.1.4.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Other people have found the same error in other Microsoft apps but I was not able to find something specific for Teams.  Any suggestions? Regards, Marcel

@Marcel_Schneider The message is pretty clear you are missing a module. I think it has nothing to do with the teams install but more on the windows site. Have you tried to rollback win 11 to a previous version and then installed?

Build 26059 was an update from 26052 and this again from other previous insider builds. What module is missing? Have noticed the same "bug at Visual Studio 16.8.2 and 16.8.3" (and more) where MSBild.exe was the culprit: "There is a problem that MSBuild requires version 4.1.3.0 but downloads 4.1.4.0".
System.Numerics.Vectors, Version=4.1.4.0
