Is there an option to block 3rd party bots from joining a Teams meeting in the Admin Center or elsewhere in Azure? Here's the backstory: company users started receiving recaps of their meetings f...

I didn't mention I brought this up to the Teams device product group. They quickly said they are aware. A suggested option was to create a meeting policy and disable 'Anonymous users can join a meeting.' Otherwise, I was directed back to my account team to discuss further.
When I tested the Meeting Policy out, users who didn't have a Teams account weren't able to join the meeting without signing in. Without a Teams account, these users wouldn't be able to join at all. The biggest concern was that the bot could still join, so it wasn't being seen as anonymous.

did you run the script to block sub domains for read.ai?
- DparrottMay 13, 2024Copper ContributorAlso did you turn off the "People in my organization can communicate with Teams users whose accounts aren't manage by an organization." in the admin console?
- thekurteichlerMay 13, 2024Brass ContributorNo, we need to be able to communicate with all users. Didn't run a script to block subdomains, but the bot was coming into the meetings as @read.ai. Not sure this would have made a difference. Also, the need is to block bots. There may be a legitimate need to communicate with somebody from a blocked domain/subdomain.

It's quite annoying.
