Microsoft Teams - Missing Setup Email

I am trying to setup Microsoft Teams using my Microsoft account login but if I try to login I get a message that "somebody has already setup Teams for your organization, talk to your IT Admin to get setup or setup Teams using a different email and or organization.

I am a subscriber to Microsoft 365 Family.

I never received an email to finish setting up Teams so I am stuck since I want to keep my Microsoft account login ID as my Teams Login ID.

Can I somehow have the setup email sent to my account email address or somehow reset the Teams setup?

Please advise, Thanks.

ChristianBergstrom I used Option 1 and created a new free teams account with "another email address" that was associated with my Microsoft 365 Family Account. I have to use this alternative email to login but it still references back to my Account, which is OK, I guess. I can now use Microsoft Teams from a web page, Desktop App and the iOS App.

Do I have to "upgrade" to use my Microsoft 365 Family apps in the free version? I don't see a way to add the apps from the "apps" button on the left vertical bar, only from the top horizontal bar as a tab. Will the Free version go away, at some future time, if I do not "upgrade"?

Will the Teams App now show up in my Microsoft 365 Family list of subscribed services?

I did not try the "domains-admin-takeover" option yet, unless you recommend it over the first option.

Glad it worked out for you! Do not use the takeover then. I just attached it ”by default” (it’s so many people having one of those issues).
