Microsoft Teams External Camera on IOS IPad

Hi,   Does anyone have any information on when external camera will be recognised in Teams on IOS for IPad? I Use my IPad Pro as primary tool for work and have the Apple Studio Display. It would ...

robmking it was one of their typical 'Bug fixes and performance improvements'. 

 

How do I know it was a rollback? Because they broke integrated camera orientation for all calls for all ipad pro 2024 users and on some forums MS mentioned there will be a delay before the fix is live (time time for apple to approve a new version) they must have done the fix in less than a day, therefore rollback to previous code to prevent another incident.

Just checking. Has anyone else been successful recently to get the external webcam working again?

    Excellent! I've just tried my M4 connected through unpowered dongle and it's really working!

    Teams: 6.18.2
    Build: 6.18.77.2024183701/1009
    Calling Version: 2024.35.01.10
    Release Branch: 2024Sep-T2
    iPadOS: 18.0.1
    Camera: Logitech C920

    It is working with and without external screen. Like a charm! No extra magic needed, 100% repro.

    all webcams i have tried work, Logitech branded and via black magic mini atem pro

    PaulB2455This is awesome and great news!!!! Do you mind if I ask the version of TEAMS you are running, what version iOS 18 and last, what webcam(s) you are using?  

    I am using the following and cannot get it to work with either webcam:

    * IPad Pro 12.9-inch 6th generation

    * iPadOS 18.1 beta (2285045g)

    * Teams Version 6.19.1, Build 6.19.77.2024193102/1017

    * Webcam 1: Logitech Brio 4K WebCam

    * Webcam 2: Vitade HD960

    Folks, i found this working as of today.  Running ipad m4, MS teams native.  And external webcam input is taken.  MS teams i can now put on the external monitor, the feed is external webcam and it’s not rotated.  Happy days.

    Still no luck on an M4 RobertK2490 Also no io18 on M4, double whammy.
