Microsoft Cancels the Teams Who Bot

MVP

Message center notification MC687849 announces the retirement of the Teams Who bot. This was one of the original apps developed to show the potential of Teams. In truth, the bot was never very useful. Microsoft says that its functionality will be replaced with Copilot. You’ll be able to query for the answers the Who bot provided for a small extra investment.

@TonyRedmond While not a great app, we have less than 100 MS lics and our users like the Who bot, especially our new employees.

If what I hear is correct, very dissapointed that this will become another chargeable feature.

@TonyRedmond the who bot is the only reason I ever was using Teams...

We have thousands of ppl in our company and some come and some go and that was my go to place to find information on my colleagues, if there are still there or not and who to contact for this or that...

It's always the good things that get discontinued...

I liked it to, and we wont get Copilot anytime soon. Dont understand why you could already cancel it. Its hard to find info about people in teams now, requires multiple clicks (although the bot also required multiple clicks and logging in)
